Tunnel drying for sawn timber at 18/20% moisture content
To enable the use of its softwood sawn timber in most construction applications, Les Scieries du Centre offers, as standard or as an option, sawn timber dried to 18/20% moisture content.
Equipped with a tunnel kiln for low-temperature vacuum drying - which prevents major drying splits - it can dry sawn timber in standard dimensions as well as large-section pieces.
ISPM 15 heat treatment
The drying tunnel at Les Scieries du Centre can treat wood intended for packaging in accordance with the ISPM 15 phytosanitary standard.
All wood treated in this way is marked with the code assigned by the Regional Food Service. It is suitable for international transport applications.
