All our sawn timber is CE marked
CE marking, timber grading, labelling and packaging
Sawn timber heat-treated in accordance with ISPM 15 standard, the standard governing wood packaging materials, is marked. Our sawn timber is graded according to the NF B 001 visual structural grading standard of December 1998 for structural timber and according to the NF B 1611-1 softwood appearance grading standard of October 1999 applicable to French softwoods for timber intended for visible applications
Stock and availability
Extensive stocks for fast deliveries
We permanently maintain a large stock of sawn timber in all standard dimensions.
This stock enables us to respond quickly to customer orders.
The sawmill has implemented a “pre-stocking” system for the dimensions used by its regular customers, enabling very fast delivery in the event of urgent orders. Orders, even those combining species, dimensions and usage requirements, can be fulfilled within short lead times thanks to permanent stock. Les Scieries du Centre produces special cuts (cutting to list) – in particular, large-section and long-length cuts – to order for its customers, in addition to standard dimensions.
Strategic location
National and international trade
The sawmill’s location in central France, at a motorway junction serving all French regions and, in particular, the ports of the Mediterranean area, is an undeniable asset for deliveries throughout France and internationally.
Depending on the year, Les Scieries du Centre generates between 25 and 35% of its turnover from exports (2/3 in Europe and 1/3 to countries outside Europe).
Its experience in international transactions (European countries, Maghreb and Middle Eastern countries, and Asian countries) has given it in-depth knowledge of the
- standards requirements and timber grades of certain countries,
- regulatory obligations for international transactions
- international road, rail and sea transport practices.
